So aside from the everlasting pain in my arms (pregnancy induced carpel tunnel according to my doctor) I still feel pretty good....kinda! I definitely feel more "worn out" lately. My feet get tired pretty fast, and the tummy is definitely getting heavier. Sleeping has been difficult, mostly because of my numb and tingly arms, but I just can't get very comfortable in general. Oh did I mention that our air conditioning decided to break this past weekend during the hottest day of the year?? Preggo lady was NOT happy! Not happy at all. My poor husband. Luckily, he fixed it in the next two days. :D I was a much happier wife after that.
Baby girl is definitely kicking me a lot these days. Luckily, she likes to play in the later mornings and in the evenings, so so far, she has not interrupted my (lack of) beauty sleep. It's funny, kicks do not feel like I thought they would. I'm not really sure what I expected actually, but her kicks just feel like strong muscle spasms. For some reason, I thought they would hurt more! I have to remember too, I am only 23 weeks....I started to really feel her, and actually KNOW that it was her, at about 19 weeks. Between 20-21 weeks, she was moving a lot more. Now she REALLY moves. But really, it's so amazing to feel her moving! I can feel her now even from the outside of my tummy, and Josh has felt her a couple times. I know the kicks will get stronger, so I'm sure he'll be able to feel more of her down the road. :)
Some exciting things we have going on lately:
- We bought a new car. This was exciting, but also very bittersweet for me, as I had to say goodbye to my pretty baby, my subaru wrx. But, I needed a mom car. Not only that, but I needed to be able to fit husband, baby, and dog in one car, and unfortunately the wrx couldn't do it for me. We bought a 2012 subaru forester, and it's great! Lots of features, great safety ratings, great gas mileage, and I don't have to drive a stick anymore. Not that that was bad, but that would've been difficult with a baby in the backseat. :) Here's the new subie:
- Josh went on a 4 day fishing trip in Sekiu and brought home some salmon....yummm...nothing better than fresh salmon!
- Went camping with my side of the family by the Nisqually River, which is always fun! I found out during this trip that my feet can definitely get swollen if I'm on them long enough. :/ Here are Josh and Trooper fishing in the river.
- I know this probably isn't as exciting to some of you, but we decided to let our cats be outdoor cats! They are still just as needy, but I think they're happier ;) When baby comes, I'm going to have to remember to spend time with my animals because they sure are cute! :) (well that and I love them)
- We haven't started on the nursery yet, but we're gathering ideas. I don't want to do a ton of pink, but I like the idea of teal walls, with accents of pink and yellow. We'll have dark furniture like below, so I think it will go nicely. There is a little too much pink for me in this picture, but I like the idea! I'm also thinking of doing a baby animal theme....but not sure yet.
- Oh and yes, the ever-growing baby BUMP! More like a mountain I say....... 22 weeks!
So anyway, we have another ultrasound at 30 weeks. Wow that seems like a long time from now, but after summer, I know time will go by fast! Yikes!! See you guys later ;)
