Headaches headaches headaches

For some reason, I feel lucky that my only annoying symptom has been headaches. Major throbbing headaches! I happen to have one right now and should be working, but instead I'm blogging. I'm a little stubborn and don't want to take any medicine, but I'm kind of hoping Tylenol isn't too far away. I drink a ton of water, I ate breakfast, and it still won't go away. I also feel really fat and full, but I guess that comes with being preggo. :)

On a brighter note, I'm 16 weeks this week, woohoo! Besides the headaches, I feel great. I broke down and bought some maternity jeans with my mom from Old Navy because they were only $30, but other than that I can still kind of fit in my clothes! I don't think I look as good in them....but what can you do? I have a lot of doctor appointments coming up: Next week I'm having a 1 hour glucose test, then a physical on July 2nd, then we find out the baby's gender and full anatomy exam on July 6th! I can't wait! Who wants to start placing bets now? Mother's intuition says girl.....but I could be wrong!

Oh, and some other important news in our lives - just this week I accepted a position as the Operations Manager at the Steilacoom KeyBank......literally 2 minutes from my house! I used to manage this branch, so it's like coming home. This was a really hard decision for me, being a Branch Manager for years now, but with the baby and our lives changing rapidly, it was important for me to reduce the stress in my life (less sales!), be closer to home, and really to try something different. My favorite part of being a Branch Manager was developing employees, and as an Ops Manager I still get to do that - I just won't be responsible for the whole entire branch which sometimes can feel like a huge burden. The previous Ops Manager at Steilacoom was so amazing and everyone loved her. She was with the bank for over 20 years, so I have some big shoes to fill! It was important to her and to the current manager that they bring someone in that knows the town, knows the people, and can do a good job. Hopefully I can! Luckily, my manager was so great with understanding why I wanted to make the change. It really all just made sense, and it all couldn't have happened at the perfect time. So here's to new endeavors!

Oh of course, I think we need a 16 week bump picture. Enjoy!

  1. Congratulations on your new position! I think that it's absolutely wonderful that you'll be so incredibly close to home; you always seem to know how to plan wisely.

My mom had always said that if your baby bump rides high, it's a boy, and if it hangs low, it's a girl. Can't wait to see you in a month!

  2. Love your outfit!

I used to get those too around that time. They were miserable. For some reason, Odwalla Superfood and Slimfast both really helped because I didn't take Tylenol either.

You're so gorgeous! I'm betting girl too!
